Amidst the rugged cliffs and wild natural beauty of Moraca Gorge lies a male monastery of the same name. Although the monastic abode is over eight centuries old, it looks extraordinarily neat and tidy. The monks carefully tend to the monastery grounds and reverently preserve the temple’s interior. Thanks to their efforts, you can admire 13th-century frescoes and see a handwritten Gospel.

Tara Canyon is considered the deepest canyon in Europe and ranks second in the world in depth after the famous Grand Canyon in the USA. After taking plenty of photos against the backdrop of the canyons, we’ll drive to Zabljak – Montenegro’s ski resort and the highest town in the Balkans! Zabljak’s center is located at an altitude of 1456 meters above sea level. Next to the town is the Durmitor mountain range and national park, which includes 48 peaks over two kilometers high and 18 glacial mountain lakes. The Zabljak resort is very popular with skiers.
