Food Tour: Oyster Farm
We’ll kick off our gastronomic tour of Montenegro with a visit to an oyster farm in the Bay of Kotor! We’ll drive along the Adriatic coast, past the towns of Kotor and Perast, admiring the mountain landscapes and enjoying the morning sun. The Adriatic is incredibly rich in seafood. Here, we’ll try two of Montenegro’s most popular seafoods – oysters and mussels. And, of course, paired with homemade white wine!

Food Tour: Njeguši Village
Our next stop on the gastronomic tour of Montenegro is Njeguši village, nestled in the heart of Lovćen National Park. Here, we’ll visit a family smokehouse and an authentic high-mountain cheese dairy. You’ll witness the production of Montenegro’s main cold delicacies: prosciutto and cheeses. After learning about the production, you’ll enjoy a tasting of these amazing treats. You can also try homemade herbal tinctures and local rakija here.

Food Tour: Bee Apiary
A special highlight of our gastronomic tour of Montenegro is a visit to an apiary. For many of our guests, it’s a real revelation that Montenegrins are true masters of beekeeping and honey production! In fact, Montenegro boasts several thousand independent apiaries. High-mountain honey, produced in the vast expanses of Durmitor and Lovćen National Parks, is considered especially delicious and beneficial. It’s here, at an altitude of 1.2 km above sea level, that environmentally friendly bee honey is produced. At one of these apiaries, we’ll taste the most delicious honey on the Njeguši plateau!

Food Tour: Lunch at a Traditional Restaurant
Depending on your preferences, we’ll make a stop for lunch. If you’re craving seafood, we can dine on the shores of Skadar Lake at the restaurant “Jezero”. Or, enjoy traditional meat dishes at the restaurant “Belveder”, near the city of Cetinje.

Food Tour: Winery of Ilija Klišić, President of the Montenegrin Winemakers Association
Finally, we’ll head to the winery of Ilija Klišić, who has been the president of the Montenegrin Winemakers Association for 10 years. The winery owner will introduce you to the production technology of his best wines. Afterward, we’ll settle on the veranda with a view of the Dinaric mountains to enjoy the winery’s products with delicious cheese and meat delicacies. You’ll get to taste several types of red, white, rosé, and even sparkling wine!
